1 Year Anniversary of Catastrophic Detroit Flood
One year ago today, the Detroit Metro was ravaged by a catastrophic flood. Up to 6" of water fell in some areas, with bridges, roads, highways, and houses completely under water. At Detroit Metro Airport, 4.57" of rain was officially recorded, with 1.24" falling in just 24 minutes. Many citizens had to swim to safety from their vehicles from the rapidly rising waters. It was the worst flood in Detroit in 140 years.
