CLASS: FSRT/OCT COMBO (TWO CLASSES, 3 DAYS)

TEST FEE: $65/STUDENT/CLASS ($130/STUDENT FOR COMBO)

FIRE RESTORATION:

Join us for 2 days of training in fire and smoke restoration with Pat Dooley, an expert in his field, along with one day of training in odor control. Successful completion of these courses will certify you in fire and smoke damage restoration by the IICRC and odor control by the IICRC. Read more at www.iicrc.org. 

Topics covered include:

1. Fundamentals of structural fire and smoke damage

2. Products and procedures used

3. Equipment and testing 

4. Safety, PPE, proper work forms

5. Contents cleaning/pack out

6. Odor control, psychological odors, and the problems it can cause if treated incorrectly + removing source of odor

7. Restoring vs. replacing damaged contents 

8. Managing a job site/pricing

9. Insurance adjustors expectations

ODOR CONTROL:

The Odor Control Technician course covers olfaction and odor, odor sources, detection process, theory of odor control, equipment, chemical options and applications. The student will learn how to address odors caused from biological sources such as decomposition, urine contamination, and mold, combustion sources such as fire and smoke damage, and chemical sources such as fuel oil spills or volatile organic chemicals. (1 day course; 7 hours, not including exam time, lunch and breaks)

IMPORTANT!

THERE IS A $65 TEST FEE PAYABLE TO THE IICRC PER ATTENDEE ($65 TIMES TWO FOR THE COMBO COURSE or $130/STUDENT). YOU OR YOUR TECHNICIAN MUST BRING A FORM OF PAYMENT ON THE LAST DAY OF CLASS. THIS PAYMENT IS PROCESSED BY THE IICRC IN LAS VEGAS. WE DO NOT PROCESS THE PAYMENT HERE AT NU-TECHYou may provide them with a credit card number including expiration and CVV code, or a check made out to the IICRC. The student will give this payment to the instructor after the exam on the FINAL DAY OF CLASS.
